Dirk M. Elston, MD, is from the Department of Dermatology at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. He earned his medical degree, cum laude, from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Elston’s medical internship and dermatology residency were both completed at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He completed his dermatology fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.
The author of more than 200 peer reviewed articles, Dr. Elston is also the co-editor-in-chief of eMedicine Dermatology and one of the 3 authors of Andrews Diseases of the Skin.
